The Neal S. Blaisdell Center, Honolulu’s first convention center dating to 1964, is in the midst of a nearly $44 million-makeover. The campus’s Concert Hall and Exhibition Hall are under construction, but the new 567-seat Blaisdell Arena debuted with upgrades to seating, restrooms and more for upcoming shows including UB40 (January 20), Brett Young (February 3), Janet Jackson (March 8-10) and James Taylor (May 4).
